Dr. Venkata Krishna B.
Senior Researcher
Dr. Venkata Krishna pursued his post graduate degree in Microbiology from Dayananda Sagar College, Bangalore. He has completed his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, and has the credit of qualifying National Eligibility Test (NET). He is a life member of the Society of Biological Chemists (SBC, India).
Dr. Krishna's doctoral research work primarily focused on treatment of Jaundice and microbial degradation of environmentally toxic dyes. He has documented his research in peer-reviewed national and international journals as an author and co-author, and participated in several national and international conferences and workshops. He has delivered a number of poster and oral presentations related to his research and received the 'Best Paper Presentation' award from Reva University. He has also mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research projects.
During the course of his academics, he taught Microbiology, Biotechnology and Nursing courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and became interested in teaching and creating academic content. Over the course of his Ph.D., he started developing an interest in teaching Biology. Ultimately, that has led him to pedagogical research in science education and to Prayoga.
He enjoys music, sports and cooking and loves travelling.
