Dr. K. S. Nagabhushana is an interdisciplinary researcher, he started his research career as a Ph.D. (CSIR fellow- Natural Products Chemistry) in VMSRF from Mysore University (submission 1998) followed by stint as Postdoctoral Fellow at University of the Western Cape and Rhodes University (RSA; 1998-2001). 

As a researcher, he has authored more than 25 international journal publications, 8 chapters in books (2 of them in Encyclopedia of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology) and is an inventor in 15 Indian and US patent applications, most of which are granted. During his role as a principle researcher, he led the team for 2 commercial products (Food based), a platform technology development (Green Chemistry/Catalysis), and helped in 3 technology transfers (Nano and Agri related).
