A distinguished educationist, forever-committed teacher, philanthropist, board member of several organisations and a responsible social citizen, Dr. Nagaraja's journey is a remarkable story of a self-made man, his indomitable will and enterprise to build organisations that deliver enduring value and institutions that serve society at all levels.

Prayoga is the manifestation of HSN's long-held belief that science should be learnt in an exploratory, hands-on and experiential way. HSN also believes that compartmentalisation of Science into Physics, Chemistry and Biology was a result of limitations of human comprehension, and that nature, by itself, is wholesome and holistic. Students should be unburdened from these restrictions and be allowed to explore science to its fullest. It is this philosophy that inspired the setting up of Prayoga and drives it forward to this day.

Prior to starting Prayoga, HSN founded and established a premier training organisation. HSN built a 400-member organization offering a range of training programs for students from Class V to 10+2. With centers across Karnataka and strategic alliances with several institutions, BASE has been playing a crucial role in elevating the ability of students to compete with the best in the country to secure admission into leading IITs, Medical Colleges, Engineering colleges and institutions that offer learning options in Pure Sciences.

HSN has authored over 20 books in Physics and Electronics. The books are referred by students across the country. He has worked as a member of the syllabus committee in Physics and Electronics at PU and Degree levels. He has worked as a resource person in training teachers across Karnataka.
Outside of BASE, HSN's persuasive skills and thoughtful leadership have played a guiding role on several initiatives. He has served on the Advisory Committees / Governing Councils of several schools, PU and Engineering Colleges. He is a member of Karnataka Science and Technology Academy (KSTA).

HSN's commitment to delivering social responsibilities is exemplary. He is the Founder- Trustee of Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation (www.shankaracancerfoundation.org), Bangalore, where he has played a catalytic role in growing the organization. Sri Shankara Cancer Hospitals - a 320-bed hospital that offers cost effective cancer treatment. He is also one of the architects of Tapas, a unique social learning initiative where bright young students from weaker sections of the society are provided intense training for IIT JEE, free of cost, along with free boarding and lodging.
